Austin was born and raised in Michigantown, Indiana and graduated from Clinton Central in 2007. He then went on to Purdue University to study Building & Construction Management. After graduation, he spent three years traveling across the country building wind farms. Austin was married to his wife Erin in 2012 and they currently live outside of Frankfort, Indiana with their two boys, Owen and Brooks.
